Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Relax. Focus on the job loss issue you are
dealing with. Take a deep, slow breath. Begin tapping 7 to 10 times on each point while
repeating the following.
Karate Chop: “Even though I lost my job and don’t know how I will ever pay the bills now, I
accept myself and all of my problems.
Even though I lost my job and feel helpless and hopeless of ever getting back on my feet,
I deeply and completely accept myself and all of these problems.
Even though I know how hard it will be to find another job, I deeply and completely accept
and understand myself and all of these problems.”
Eyebrow: "This Job Loss."
Side of the Eye: " This Job Loss and all its problems."
Under the Eye: " This Job Loss."
Under the Nose: " This Job Loss and all its problems."
Chin: " This Job Loss and all its problems."
Collarbone: " This Job Loss."
Under the Arm: " This Job Loss and all its problems."
Top of the Head: " This Job Loss."
Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Focus on the issue of job loss.
Karate Chop: “Even though I still have some of this job loss anxiety and don’t know how I
will ever pay the bills now, I accept myself and all of my problems.
Even though I still have some of this job loss anxiety and feeling of helplessness and
hopelessness of ever getting back on my feet, I deeply and completely accept myself and
all of these problems.
Even though still have some of this job loss anxiety and I still know how hard it will be to
find another job, I deeply and completely accept and understand myself and all of these
problems.”
Eyebrow: "This remaining Job Loss anxiety."
Side of the Eye: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety and all its problems."
Under the Eye: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety."
Under the Nose: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety and all its problems."
Chin: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety and all its related problems."
Collarbone: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety."
Under the Arm: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety and all its problems."
Top of the Head: " This remaining Job Loss anxiety."
Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Relax. Now that you get the gist of it, change
the wording and keep going to clear other negative aspects of job loss. Repeat as
needed until your anxiety level is gone.
Thinking more clearly is possible when the negative aspects of the job loss are released.
This won’t find you a new job but can make doing so less stressful. See more clearly and
be more open to the search. When one door closes, another opens.
